Recognizing an opportunity, starting a business, and then operating that business involves a diverse set of skills.
When people decide to become entrepreneurs, it has the power to lift them up and transform their lives in positive ways from having more money and time to being able to give back more to their community.
This is why I started the Entrepreneur Accelerator.
The purpose is to help entrepreneurs accelerate their growth through inspirational, motivational and educational content, courses and community.
How it all started
I really struggled with school growing up. I wasn’t good at traditional school, or at least that's what the grades reflected.
For me, the benefit of school was more about the relationships I built with my peers than about what they were teaching in class.
In my final year of high school, I was elected the student council president because I learned early in life, the value of building relationships.
An idea was born
I can distinctly remember a moment shortly after my second attempt at grade 12 that I wished there were classes for people that wanted to start and build businesses.
Back then this was just not a highly promoted career path as it is today.
I remember thinking to myself, “I should start a school that teaches people how to be entrepreneurs.”
I didn’t act on this idea but over the years as I’ve worked on all kinds of projects for all kinds of organizations, the idea of creating an entrepreneur school has kept creeping back into my mind.
It’s been a childhood dream to start a school for entrepreneurs and I'm excited for what the future holds for the Entrepreneur Accelerator.
